Grown on the “Caraluma” vineyard, located on Patemans Lane in the heart of Murrumbateman, this vineyard is surrounded by some of the most famous vineyards in the region. The vines are lovingly hand tended by their owner.  The vineyard has a perfect aspect on the eastern side of a hill.

De-stemmed and cold soaked for five days to retain primary fruit freshness. Warm, rapid fermentation and a total of two weeks macerating on skins to achieve complex tannin profile. Racked to barrel for malolactic fermentation. When MLF was completed the wine was clarified by sequential racking to ensure that wine was matured in oak without lees. Matured over fourteen months in older French oak hogsheads.

Mid garnet.

Black fruit aromas with spice and pepper, typical of the region.

Juicy black fruit flavours with chocolate oak notes and soft tannin. The palate is balanced with fine structural tannins showing dark chocolate richness and texture. The black spice and deep fruit flavours represent the regional characters expressed in this warm, dry vintage.
